Recovery is the intentional process of identifying and evolving past patterns that no longer serve your current needs. Many unhelpful thoughts or behaviors originally developed as sensible responses to a dysfunctional environment or relationship. Recovery begins when you recognize these patterns as barriers to your goals and commit to developing improved strategies for wellness and self-fulfillment.
At Availia, we view recovery as a mature form of self-growth. It is the personal responsibility to reflect on how past experiences, whether from formative years or adult relationships, impact your current reality. By prioritizing empowered healing and mindful adaptation, you regain control over your intended outcomes and move beyond the limitations of your past programming.
All services at Availia are provided by Duncan True, the agency's founder and Administrator. Duncan is a Washington State licensed Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) and Nationally Board-Certified Addiction Counselor (NCAC-I) with over a decade of forensic behavioral health experience. Availia is a private practice, meaning clients and referring professionals work directly with the same experienced clinician from first contact through completion of services.

Availia is a focused, single-clinician practice built on a straightforward commitment: professional standards, consistent delivery, and objective documentation every time. Our clinician brings over a decade of forensic behavioral health experience that most providers cannot offer, including direct work within the DOC system, county jails, public health, and specialized outpatient SUD services.
Because Availia operates as a solo practice, every client, attorney, probation officer, and referring agency works directly with the same experienced professional from intake through completion. There are no handoffs, no rotating staff, and no inconsistency. What you see is what you get, and what you get is a clinician who knows this work from the inside out.
Availia maintains social media accounts and online platforms for marketing and general information purposes. These channels are not monitored for client communications and should not be used for scheduling, clinical matters, or urgent concerns. For all official business, please use our phone, email, fax, or booking page. Response times through unofficial channels cannot be guaranteed.
The primary language of instruction at Availia is English. Participants who require language support are welcome to use professional interpretation services or translation technology to facilitate their engagement.
For participants whose needs cannot be reasonably accommodated, we will do our best to provide a referral to a provider offering services in the preferred language.
If you have specific language access needs, please contact us prior to enrollment so we can discuss options and ensure the right fit.
